Charmaine Samuda, LCSW
As a licensed mental health professional with over 15 years of clinical experience, I have helped individuals in getting through their current stressors and past traumatic experiences. I am a Master’s level graduate from Columbia University, School of Social Work and have received invaluable experiences from varied clinical settings, such as Yale New Haven Hospital and Cornell-Scott Hill Health Center. I have applied the knowledge and experiences gained in my work with individuals and families.
My years of experience allowed me to expertly help individuals with problems relating to varied clinical problems, such as depression and anxiety. I have helped individuals move through their feelings of pain to find meaning and purpose in their lives. In addition, I have helped children and their parents shift from discord to harmony; go from fighting to enjoying each other. I offer a confidential, therapeutic setting that allow individuals to feel at ease.
I specialize in showing individuals like yourself how to reach your full potential. If you have been in therapy before and you are ready to try it again in order to make a lasting change, I am the kind of therapist who will keep you working deeply so that you can reach the goals you want. I help people in their desire to close the gap between where they are right now and where they want to be in the future.
I have gained positive outcomes in my work with children, adolescents and their families. My therapeutic modalities include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.
